Well, we did it!!

We've signed the papers for our new home & will be closing on 12/01. I have more pix but need to re-size them first. Meanwhile, I am madly sorting, tossing, & packing!!

Here is a view of the main living area with the stairs to the upper level at the rear of the shot. The windows to the left overlook the view shown in the next shot & face mainly to the south.

This is a view of the home at the end of the drive-way. Lots of gorgeous Ponderosa pines on the property!

Another bit of art!

Here is the tie that I made for the collaborative project "Ties That Bind", I have a link to the Ovarian Cancer Research cause on my blog.

I was thrilled to be included in this project and can't wait to see the finished art doll that will be assembled from the ties & charms that were donated by artists around the world. The doll will be up for auction & the resulting funds will go towards ovarian cancer research.

My sweet grammy died from ovarian cancer in 1974. Of course, things have changed since then, but there is still a lot of work to be done in educating women about this "silent" cancer.

Life will be getting CRAZY!!!

OK, first I will post some of my recent artsy efforts and then my exciting news...other than getting my kidneys blasted with shockwaves right before Thanksgiving.....wahhhhh!

It was my month to exchange Gothic arches with Linda Eustace, her theme is "love" & it was artist choice for the colors...hope she liked them!!!

I arted two Gothic Arches for Debby Harrietha. I used mirrored images for both and played with pink & green.

These are the two 8x8 pages that I made for Heather Robinson, her theme is "lost & found", as usual, love is on my mind!

More little moo's that will be traded on the Paper Whimsy forum, the colour was artist choice.

A little flock of turquoise moo's that I traded with my art friends.

These are some of the Gothic arches that I made for a Halloween theme swap on the Paper Whimsy group...I hope you don't get toooo scared!

Now the fun part....we put a bid in on a new abode....and are waiting anxiously for word from the sellers.....we've decided that we want to retire in this area (or has the economy & job situation decided for us! LOL!!!), so we'll be selling our "starter" home & (hopefully) moving into a lovely log home on 5 acres of rolling terrain. The owners have put a lot of love into the gardens & the home, but they are ready to move on after 8 years....this would be the brand-newest home we've ever owned if we're lucky enough!!! Keep your fingers crossed, toes & eyes wouldn't hurt either! It's a 10 inch Swedish cope log with a clear-coat and a beautiful green metal roof...the inside is bright & cheery & big enough for we 2 & our 5 kitty's! YAY!!!!
